| General Overview | Babatunde is currently an Independent Duty Corpsman. He can act independently of or under the clinical supervision of a physician and perform many of the duties of a physician in their absence. Babatunde attended Enlisted Academy with Alex Rylan and was assigned to the same Marine company as he was right out of the Academy. The two later both completed the Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman pipeline and served with MARSOC. Their careers diverged when Babatunde stepped back to the Reserves and worked in the civilian sector as a "Community Paramedic", in remote areas, similar to what he was doing in Starfleet. Babatunde later returned to Starfleet as an Fleet Independent Duty Corpsman and was recently assigned to DS9. Both Alex and Babatunde are acquainted with Doctor Karzen, Son of Arjune, Son of Ragan. The three of them closed a few bars back in the "Bad Old Days".
